At Better Life Counselling Center, we provide trauma-informed counselling and emotional support for individuals who have experienced crime, violence, or traumatic events. Through the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP), eligible clients can access timely, funded services to help stabilize their emotional well-being and begin the healing process.

What Is the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP)?
The Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) provides short-term, immediate support for individuals who have recently experienced a crime or traumatic incident. This program aims to reduce distress, improve safety, and offer rapid emotional stabilization after a difficult event.
VQRP may assist individuals affected by:

Domestic or intimate partner violence

Sexual assault or sexual violence

Human trafficking

Criminal harassment or stalking

Robbery or break-and-enter

Hate crimes or bias-motivated crimes

How VQRP Counselling Works
Our VQRP counselling process is designed to be quick, accessible, and emotionally stabilizing, focusing on trauma recovery and safety.
