How Insurance Reimbursement Works

At Better Life Counselling Center (BLCC), we strive to make the reimbursement process as straightforward as possible. While coverage and reimbursement procedures vary by insurance provider and individual benefit plan, the process generally follows these steps:

  1. Schedule Your Appointment
Book an appointment with one of our mental health professionals.
  2. Be Matched with the Appropriate Clinician
When possible, we will match you with a clinician whose professional designation aligns with your extended health insurance coverage.
  3. Attend Your Appointment
Receive confidential, evidence-based mental health care tailored to your individual needs.
  4. Receive Your Official Receipt
Following your appointment, you will receive a detailed receipt containing the information typically required for insurance reimbursement.
  5. Submit Your Claim
Submit your receipt to your insurance provider in accordance with your plan’s claims process. Reimbursement timelines and coverage amounts vary depending on your insurer and individual policy.

Please note: Better Life Counselling Center (BLCC) does not determine insurance eligibility or reimbursement amounts. We recommend confirming your mental health benefits, eligible provider designation (e.g., Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker, or Registered Psychologist), annual coverage limits, and any referral requirements directly with your insurance provider before your first appointment.
