Shahrzad is the Clinical Director and Supervisor at BLCC. She is a Registered Social Worker and Registered Psychotherapist with an MA in Psychology and a Masters of Social Work. Shahrzad mainly uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in her approach to individual therapy. When working with couples, she applies interventions and techniques from Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to support clients in shaping relationships that heal. Shahrzad is also highly trained and skilled in a wide range of approaches including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed and Attachment therapy as well as Triple P Parenting. Shahrzad provides clinical supervision for Registered Psychotherapists and Social Workers.
