Education and Approaches

Kimia Taghavi is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York University. Kimia brings extensive experience in working with men’s mental health, having provided inclusive and culturally sensitive support at the Canadian Centre for Men and Families. Here, she worked with clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges, gaining a nuanced understanding of the silent battles men often endure, including societal pressures, emotional suppression, and the complexities of vulnerability.

Kimia’s therapeutic practice is rooted in a compassionate, client-centered approach that honours each individual’s unique story and cultural background. Fluent in both English and Farsi, she creates a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions and build self-awareness.
